Open consultation period for health technology assessment (HTA) on on the use of antimicrobial wound dressings in chronic wounds
Healthcare Improvement Scotland has published its HTA consultation report, which considers the following research questions:
What is the clinical and cost effectiveness of different antimicrobial wound dressings (AWDs), and their safety, compared with other dressings and techniques, for treating localised wound infection in chronic wounds?
What are the patient and organisational issues associated with the use of different AWDs in patients with chronic wounds?
