SIGN Patient Information Booklet for Young People with Autism

The patient version Autism, A booklet for Young People was published on 31 January 2017. The booklet is for young people of high school age who may have autism, or have already been diagnosed with autism, and explains the advice for healthcare professionals on how to help people with autism. It looks at:

• assessment and diagnosis of autism, and
• what can help people with autism

This is second of three patient versions produced from the guideline SIGN 145 Assessment, diagnosis and interventions for autism spectrum disorders. The first version, for adults with autism, was published in December 2016, with the final, for parents and carers of those with autism, being published in March 2017.
